TASES

TASES

Task-specific electrical stimulation (TASES) is an evidence-based technique that uses functional electric stimulation for people with cerebral palsy and other movement disorders. It activates muscles and provides sensory input to the user, which improves movement patterns and function. Similar to a TENS machine, but instead of using it for pain relief, we use it for function/alignment!

When should I seek a physiotherapist?

Each child is different, and the care and support they need can be different as well. That’s why it’s important to get the help of a profesional, to give the best for your child.

If your child;

  • is a high risk baby, (NICU, premie, birth trauma, etc)
  • has development delays, not meeting milestones
  • has balance, strength or coordination issues
  • has disabilities, syndromes, or is not diagnosed
  • has disability support needs to meet
  • is in need of access to the NDIS
